Trick or Treating

"You mean I get to eat tons of candy?!"

"Wait a minute...I don't know what candy is..."

Baby's 1st Halloween and his first pumpkin...next year we'll let him have some candy. :)

These are some of my favorite photos.  The video is a little long, but you might get a laugh...this is what Sunday mornings getting ready for church look like at our house.  Thanks Aunt Dar for the bib. :)

Visitors

You have so many people who love you, Baby Boy!  Sarah and Noah brought us lunch our first afternoon in the hospital.  Later that day your Noni, Grandpa Dave and Uncles Jeff and Dan came to meet you.

Shannon came later that night.  The next day Bonita and Ephraim came to meet you.  Then, your cousin Kelly came to hold you.

I didn't take enough pictures...but you are well loved!

Jaundice-

You were a little too yellow for the doctor's liking so we enjoyed a few extra days in the hospital.  You spent some time on the glow bed.

This was what it looked like at night.  You didn't seem to mind.

Neither did your Daddy.  We actually moved rooms for our last night there and this is where your Dad slept in the new room...

A September morning at 4:46am

We labored through the night and you arrived before the sun rose.  Beth, the midwife, delivered you and Agneizka was our nurse.  They were amazing!  Your Dad was awesome and the four of us (five if we count you) were such a great team.  Wow!  It all went exactly as I had hoped it would go.  And, now you're here!

8 pounds .04 ounces

Skin to skin with your Mama...Boy, I love you so much.

Sweet Baby!  I cannot believe you were in my tummy!

You're on your way!

Here we are getting our things and heading to the hospital!
I started having contractions on Wednesday.  We were scheduled for an appointment with the midwife at 6pm that evening.  As your dad and I sat waiting I had a few contractions.  When we saw Rebecca, she said it sounded like we were in early labor and checked to see if we were making any progress.  We were dilated 3cm and fully effaced.  She said we should take our time, but eventually  make our way down to the hospital birth center.  Then, she accidentally broke my water!  Ahh!  She assured us that everything was ok but that we should take less time getting to the hospital.  We checked in around 8:15 pm.
