Well, we are half way through the notorious "terrible twos" with our little man and the first thing that comes to my mind is how much we enjoy him! Of course, we have our moments of defiance and rebellion and tantrums. I really struggle with feeling like I'm doing everything wrong because Levi is defiant and rebellious and throws tantrums. But, then I remember wise words from a friend, "We have the perfect Father, God, and we are still disobedient." So, yes, while a sinner teaching a sinner obedience and self-control is hard, this is such a fun age. Call me crazy but I've loved every stage...(there is good and bad about each). I know how people end up with 7+ kids. ;)
Anyway...about my two and a half year old.
He sings! Just starts randomly singing songs that he makes up. So cute. The other night we had friends over. They were saying their son's favorite song was {I can't even remember now but it had all in it} so we were singing the song {all} something. L started singing his own song that went like this. "All my life I wanted a little boy just like you." It was so sweet and my eyes filled with those mama tears because I tell him that. And he remembers it. And was singing it and doing this little dance with a happy face.
He remembers things like verses and songs (mostly the tractor tractor song). Pretty amazing.
His favorite page in the Jesus story Bible is the picture of "Jesus washing the disciples" feet. He always leaves out feet and I add it on but as I type this he might be on to something...Jesus did wash more than their feet.
He likes to hold his baby sister...and bite her toes, step on her, burp her back really hard. :/
He enjoys helping with chores...putting clothes in the washer, making his bed, picking up toys, and most recently washing dishes (really he just plays in the water, but the dishes get "clean").
He has perfected his smile face, has an absolute favorite shirt to wear (green tractor shirt), and loves that he is his baby sister's favorite person. He even told her he loves her the other day.

5 months
Sweet girl is five months old and I feel like most days go by at warp speed.
She is...
Wearing some 3 month clothes but they will soon be retired. Mostly wearing 3-6 and 6 months.
Starting to show preferences/protest/complain. Big bro took a toy from her the other day and she made it known that she did not approve. She likes playing with the wipes package and was playing with it while I changed her. When I was finished and took the wipes away she was not happy about it. Haha!
On a pretty good daytime schedule...but waking at night some.
Rolling both ways and can get from one spot to another pretty quickly. Usually moves toward where we are...especially wants to be close to Levi.
Big brother is most definitely her favorite person. I love this! They already have such a sweet little bond and she is very quick to forgive when he bites her toes:/ or is a little rough (or takes a toy). During dinner the other night she was in the bouncer next to his chair and started just squawking up at him. When he would look at her she would smile big and giggle. Then when he looked away, more squawking, then when he looked at her, more giggles. Too funny and precious!
Below is how I found her after nap time, and some 5 month shots.
