Sweet pea

Our sweet pea is almost 16 months old.

She signs and chatters all the day.  Lately, I will say something and hear an echo as she is repeating me or trying to.  I usually ask her to say it again and she doesn't say it.  Maybe she is just mimicking sound?  It still amazes me how kids learn language.

She can climb out of her bed.  :/ But seems to be a little more inclined to obey and stay in her bed, for now at least.

She will say shhhh with her finger at her lips but really has no idea what that means. ;)

She will honk your nose if you get close enough.

She still thinks her Bubba is it, even when he is not so nice.

Shoes are some of her favorite things right now.  Hers and others'.  She is always finding them and putting them on (her feet usually, but hands, too) or chewing on them. :/ She might also deliver them to their rightful owner.

She is a delight.

Christmas Card Lane

We have thoroughly enjoyed living one street over from the famous Christmas spirit filled street, Christmas Card Lane.  We visited it last year before the thought of living near was even on the horizon.  Once we started looking to buy a home, we actually looked at one home and were outbid on another home on the street!  This year we walked over with some friends and hot chocolate one evening...while it is a fun place, I found myself very thankful to not be living on the busy during the season street.

Two of the homes set up very elaborate train sets!  We took the "long" way home many evenings to get in on the festivities.  Baby sis loved the lights and it was sweet to hear her gleefully exclaim, "yitesss, yitesss!" (Lights, lights)

Our New Year's Eve celebration included a pre-bed drive through.  While several of the homes turned off their lights, the train station was in full force.  My boy and I were thankful.

My photo skills are pretty terrible and phone pics don't do it justice, but this set up is amazing.  There is a whole little city with multiple trains running, a gondola, and a lake with a fountain.  So cool!  Bubba happily told the couple who live there, "thank you for setting up these trains for me."

See ya next year, Christmas!  We are already excited!!

"Joy to the world!  The Lord is come!"

Back in Mulberry

Cruising around.

E got a trip by herself with Pops.

We played with the kids of one of Mommy's high school friends.

And saw Great Granny some more.

And played a the old p&g house.

When we left Jenny's wedding a little early, Aunt Dar made sure L got a sparkler.  We lit it before we headed to the airport.

We had to stop at Connie's for play and snacks on the way.

Little Miss fell asleep in the car and stayed asleep for a while after.  Sweet girl.

Then it was just the three of us.  On an airplane.

These two were pretty great travelers.

God was very gracious, indeed.

Truck or treat

Happy Fall Ya'll

We took a little trip with Kelly over to Bates Nut Farm.  Fed some animals and tried to get some pumpkin pictures...

L-ville

We sent Daddy back home and headed to Louisville to see cousins and meet the newest member of the family.

My kids enjoyed a Chuck-e-Cheese experience.

Bubs got in some football time with his cousins and my bubba.

P & the kids just before we headed home.

It was cold and windy in western Kentucky!

I commonly will ask him what his sister is doing,  he was showing me what she was doing ...sucking her thumb. ;)

We missed Daddy!

We stopped in Armorel to show the Cali babies cotton fields and the levee...and introduce them to some relatives.
