Lil Tracker

The Boy is becoming quite observant.  He usually always knows where I am.  When I walk in one direction...his eyes and then his head and then his whole body follow me in that direction.  Sometimes just to play, I'll walk to the other side and just watch his eyes, head, then his body shift that way.  Precious.  I also love how his face lights up and his whole body starts moving with excitement when I come into his line of vision after I've been in the other room or just out of his sight.  Love him!

The stats

We had our 4 month appointment today.  It was also the first trip to the doc just the Boy Babe and his Mommy...no Daddy and no PawPaw this time.  It was an interesting morning to say the least.  Next time we hope to have someone that can be our glue and hold us together a little better.  Haha!  Here is what we found out...

Weight= 13.5pounds (10th percentile)
Length= 27 inches (90th percentile)
Translation= he's tall and skinny...poor guy, comes by it honestly I guess.  His Daddy was asked by his jr. high coach if his knuckles hit the ground when he walked.  His Mommy still has trouble finding pants that fit.  What is it that they say about the apple?!  If I let it, the worrier in me will take over and become very concerned about his weight gain.  The dr. said she wasn't concerned...yet.  He's healthy and developing great in every other area.  We are thankful and blessed!

Here is our boy showing off his new blanket from Aunt Pat and Cousins Kara and Kelsey                                                     ...I love his Daddy so he will know that he has 2 teams ;)

However, he might say Woo Pig Sooie before he spells out SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA...it's just more fun

180 degrees

Several nights we have put him in his bed like this:

And found him the next morning like this:

He has become quite the mover and scooter! Crazy kid! ;)
(I had to recreate actual events for the photos...hopefully you can tell that he somehow scooted himself around.)

Warmth

My Mama must have told people that I could not get any "warmth" because I was given some warm sleepers for Christmas.  Ever since, I've been nice and toasty all night long...we don't need to turn on the heater!

This bed is so comfy...I wish I could sleep here...

Thanks PawPaw for my lil lion with stars sleeper...and Gramzie for my monkey blanket

Thanks Aunt Dayna for my baseball sack...I need you to hold me...

Thanks Aunt Claire and Uncle John for my moose sleeper!

Faithful

I know of nothing which I would choose to have as the subject of my ambition for life than to be kept faithful to my God till death. —C.H. Spurgeon

Him...me...the Baby Daddy, too.  May faithfulness to our God be the subject of our lives.  I snagged this from  my bro's blog.

quatre mois

Our little 4 month old ready for church...he actually ended up having to wear something different.  C'est la vie!

Playing with freddy the firefly...he got his arm through the rings.  Now that is talent!

A little photo shoot

Happy!  But, I could not get him to sit...notice my leg propping him up in the lower left corner.

"I just like to be on my tummy, Mom!"

I just love those little curled up ear lobes and blue eyes...he just loves his fingers.

Again with the fingers.  We love Daddy! ;)
Our Boy's facts of life:
Trying to roll from back to front.  He has made it to his side but does not (yet!) go all the way over.
He still loves to be on his tummy and as soon as he gets there he pops his head up and looks all around.  He also still rolls from tummy to back...and then just laughs!  Precious.
He is "playing" with toys.  I'll put some things in front of him and he grabs at them, picks them up, mostly sucks on them.
Sucking his thumb more.
He is a sweet and cuddly little shoulder baby!
Arching his back like crazy (sometimes does it when we put him in the carseat...like trying to fight us...uh oh...we are letting him know that is a no no :)).
Blowing his lips and making crazy spit bubbles and then he smiles real big with spit and bubbles all over his lips and chin.
Sleeping great day and night...not ALL the time, mind you. ;)
He is SO loud!  Definitely has "found his voice" in the last few weeks and he will talk your ear off!  We just laugh!  I sometimes cannot hear over him.  I've forgotten what it was like when he didn't make any noise.
He laughs and laughs...usually when I start laughing or tickling his feet.  It's really cute.
He has fake coughed...when someone around him coughs.  What?!  Already mimicking...silly kid.

We don't go to the doc for a couple more weeks (I called a bit late to schedule it) so I don't know any numbers...

Still wearing 0-3, 3M clothes.  Some are starting to be a bit snug.  He can wear some 3-6 but I'm trying to get all the wear out of the smaller ones.
