Rain Forest Adventures

P&G came out for a visit and we went up to meet them in Ontario and spend a few days at Edwards.

You were not so sure about the animals.

Still not sure :/
PawPaw decided $1 was money well spent since every ride on the carousel would be occupied by one of the 5 of you grandkids.

Driving Coco

Look who was having the most fun...

He got his money's worth. :)

Just right for you.

P&G and the Cali grands

Again

Just the 5 of you

Ant Hunter

We unfortunately had some ants move in with us for a short time.  I was expecting them when our neighbour asked if we had any.  (At the time we did not but it did not take too long.)  Whew-we waged war with those little critters and I think we have won, for now.

The first day I noticed a few after nap time and quickly squashed them while say, "oh no," and "go away."  The next thing I knew you were in the kitchen, bending over, laughing while saying, "on no," and "whoa."  And so it began...you were my little ant hunter.  We would walk into the kitchen and you would immediately start looking for ants.  It sounds more like you are saying ate when you see one. :)  You rush to the cabinet to get a paper towel and start squashing/wiping them.  You haven't quite figured out how to get one towel off so you have a tail of towels.   Pretty funny.

Thanks for helping me.  :)

Crib Climber

Well.  You finally did it.  You have been an extreme climber since you could move so I was expecting you to be early to exit your crib on your own.  You never did so I kinda thought maybe you never would.  Then, you mastered it.  You are actually quite controlled with your departure and landing.

You are most definitely a stinker.  When we go to put you in bed you give us a mischievous smile and say, "out."  Boo.  Still, after many, many spankings, lots of tears from you and me and a few missed naps and long nights getting you to bed... So, we borrowed a sleep sack and that has kept you in the crib.   Whatever works, right?

You are a precious head and God is teaching us much about grace and endurance in child rearing. :)

All done.

Drying off with Uncle Jeff

You and Noni picked some blueberries from her garden.

Here you go, Mama.

Have another.

Even sharing with Maggie

How did you get to be so big?!!?

Oh no!  I only have a few left!

Proud of the zucchini that you picked....that ended up being an early watermelon. ;)

21 months

A few of my favorite things about you at 21 months:

"Oh no!" must be something I say all day long beacuse you have picked this up and you say it, even changing your tone/voice level depending on the situation.  You might be a bit dramatic.

When you go up or down stairs you almost always will find a step to sit on and then point to the step and say, "Mama."  (Which means you want me to sit down next to you.)  So we sit and take in the scenery for a bit.

You recognize the names/faces of people in photos on the wall and excitedly tell us who they are.

You say that your name is, "E-I."

You also say, "heewgomama." (here you go, Mama.)

Early Anniversary

Your Daddy and I celebrate three years of marriage this month and are spending the whole month of June celebrating.  You helped us kick things off with lunch at Benihana.

Drumming for Daddy

Now for the main event...

What...fire?!

Is it ok that he's doing all the flipping and clapping?

When can we eat all of that?

Ice cream and baby goats

Cousin Julie scored us tickets to her company's  (which is actually where you and I spent most of our time when you were in my belly) summer picnic at the ZOO!  Of course, we did not snap too many pics but we enjoyed the ice cream and playing with the baby goats.

I had to post all of these ice cream pics...you were not letting that bowl and spoon out of your hands!

mmmmmmmmm

Missed...we're still working on that whole using utensils thing...

This time you got it!

Ready

Made it!

Sharing with Daddy

We love ice cream!

We hit up the petting zoo and enjoyed feeding hay to goats...

You hopped up on the little perch with this guy to feed him.

Works a little better from this angle.

Happy boy!  Maybe you need a pet?!
