8 months

Yes, you read that correctly...EIGHT MONTHS!   And this year I have an eight month old.  Whew, time flies!

So, at 8 months:
-We have a mobile baby!  Still not officially hands and knees crawling, but certainly gets where he wants to go.  He is so fun to watch!  He gets up, rocks, then face plants and then just scoots to his desired destination.  This process is repeated multiple times a day.

-We have a solid food eater!  So far he has eaten avocado, banana, yogurt, sweet potato, applesauce, pear, mango, peas, squash, rice and peaches.  He has liked everything but I think prefers a smooth texture so some things have gone down better than others.  He LOVES peaches.  I could not get them to him quickly enough.  He would take a bite, swallow it and immediately open his mouth for another bite.  He has not eaten like that for anything!  Precious kid!  (Mashed up peaches actually taste really yummy.)

Headed out for a stroll

-We have a chatter box...making sounds and squeals all day!
-We have a sitter!  He has been sitting for a while but needed help staying up.  He now sits by himself for long stretches.  His falls have become more graceful, but he still will plop over sometimes.  He has even gone from laying to sitting on his own.
-We have a puller-upper.  Oh man!  Life just gets more and more interesting by the day...he amazes me with what he will pull up on and how high he gets.  He's keeping me on my toes!

And, another...yes even in summer we still wear sweaters/hoods!

He is a delight and a dream come true.
